Instead of blog of the week

Week 1 Assignment:
  • Title: Follow the Product: Kit Kat
Choose a product: Kit Kat
Explain Logo, Slogan (tagline), Mascot for brand (or product); 
The logo of Kit Kat is the name written in red with a white circle around it and a red background. Red is a standout colour and alliteration which is appealing.










The slogan is have a break, have a kit kat. But instead of just writing the word kit kat they used the logo.  It is done in kit Kat’s dedicated colours, red and white. 






The kit kat mascott is a little alien robot figure.










State Buying Motives/Incentives to purchase products
Is it a good sugar fix and when pure chocolate is to rich it is a nice break. Its also is not to lager for the audience that do not require a large fix of chocolate but its enough to be satisfied.

Identify the target market of the product
Mostly young children who go to the supermarket with their parents and see it at the counter and complain until they have it. People who diet and watch their calories intake and just need a fix every now and again.

Analyse the market in which it is placed - who are the competitors?
The competitors are companies like Mars and Bounty who also sell chocolate bars and can be similar in size and width.

  1. 10/30 - Not a bad overview of kitkat but rather basic. There is a lack of business terminology. No overview of the market as a whole
