Samsung accuses LG (one of their biggest rivals) of damaging
their latest goods deliberately.
In South Korea Samsung claim that a couple of LG employees
and one of which was a senior executive, were seen
deliberately destroying some washing machines in German stores.
LG accepts that LG employees destroyed
2 washing machines but it was an accident. Then went on to say that LG
employees were involved the model had technical issues as well and there for
they should not accept all of the blame.
The police then had to get involved and
had to question the people and companies involved.
Samsung that stated that it was
unfortunate that high-ranking people had to be investigated but then it was
inevitable that the crime would be solved.
LG stamen included that if they were
going to destroy a product and then blame it on the product manufacturing then
they would not get their executives directly (Samsung had requested that task
forces investigate them). Then ended the statement with “we hope this was not
an attempt to tarnish our reputation”
It is no secret that the two companies
are rivals in several different types of trade, electronics being one of them.
The BBC's reporters said: "In the
past, LG and Samsung have confronted each other over smartphones, televisions,
fridges and air-conditioners. Washing machines is a new front in the global
battle."
